The Coalition Against Duck Shooting is a fully volunteer organisation which was established in 1986 to ban the recreational shooting of native waterbirds. Duck shooting has been banned in Western Australia (1990), New South Wales (1995) and Queensland (2005) and is close to being banned in Victoria where we have reduced the numbers of duck shooters from 100,000 in 1986 to approximately 11,000 active duck shooters today. Duck shooters make up less than 0.2 per cent of Victoria’s population.
